just cant get my head around how to get rid of the distortion i have
i have so far welded up 2 rectangular frames both 1030x590mm, i have then welded in 4 uprights at 825mm long...all material is 25x3mm angle.
i mitre cut the rectangular frames, tacked them up with one tack on the outermost corners, bashed it about until the diagonals were the same and then welded the bottom (outside the angle) flats only, not the vertical corners...did this for both, then takced the uprights onto the bottom frame, put the top frame on and tacked that to the uprights...
im now getting ready to weld it all up solid and then add some sheet steel shelves, however i can only get 2 corners of the base to touch the floor...i.e. corner top left and bottom right are touching, then the top right and bottom left are high.
i have nothing large enough to clamp this all down to in order to keep it flat, but as its going to be for shelving i want it as flat as possible...any ideas on how to get it flat again?
