Digital AC/DC 170 Amp Fan on permanently ?

Hi Guys first post
This week I have bought a new R-Tech TIG Welder Digital AC/DC 170 (after watching doubleboost's review of similar welders)
doubleboost mentions in the video that the fan is "on demand"
But mine is on permanently from the moment I switch it on is this right ?
Anybody else have a R-Tech TIG Welder Digital AC/DC 170 ?

Welcome to the forum!

Just drop R-Tech an email and ask them - their service is excellent. I got a unit from them last year that had a very minor issue and they arranged a swap immediately.

I did that and they phoned me back very quickly.
We had a nice chat about my welder and when I mentioned that I was new to TIG welding he offered any future help I may need getting my panel settings dialled in :-)
The Digital AC/DC 170 does not have "fan on demand" like the higher amp models.

I didn't realise they did a fan on demand version. That digital range is getting quite impressive.

Many machines have variable speed fans, i.e. they always run but vary their running speeds to suit temperature, computers often do the same.
