Some nice bikes here Regarding the TL1000S which i have,its not so much of a killer once its had the Rear shock mod done and binned the rotary shock it comes with..Mine now is very predictable into and out of high speed bends and miles better than my last bike a 1200 bandit

That's the thing once the rotory Shock is replaced with a decent well set up mono type and a quality damper across the bars I can only imagine they are a lovely torquey v twin
Granted the one I rode did have a damper so I didn't get chance to really Benifit from its true colours of head shakes but the standard suspension was enough for me to say thanks but no. Lovely motor, tremendous power but dated rear Sus wasn't made for that grunty machine. I personally found it a wild card and not in a good way.

I have an xjr 1300 but cant find a picture of it.and quad bike. Sold both my harleys and her trike since moving to the sticks our track was wrecking them.......and An on going project

And the reason I am here on a welding forum. Got the engine put in for me - an RG500 in a MV Agusta frame, then the builder couldn't do the exhausts. So I had to learn how to weld to make my own set of expansion chambers.

What serious work does the second bike need Addjunkie ? You know that a norton commando crankshaft can be put in the unit 750's to give 850cc's ? It takes a little bit of lathe work, but there is not much too it.

Yeah, i Reckon Seadog got it, a VB sidevalve. What makes me laugh is the sidecar, the ship like bow complete with flag, they did get some daft ideas back then.

Yes, a friend had a sidecar in his shed, and it was about the same size as a transit. It was massive. Thats what Jaguar started making, not fast sports cars and sexy saloons.

Chairs are a laugh, I had a double adult watsonian oxford on the side of a 750 kawasaki and it was a hoot on the dragstrip because nobody was expecting this greenhouse on wheels to hoist its skirt up and go. You could also do donuts on it. We got 7 adults on the outfit in total once for a laugh. It really was massive.
On the minus side, stuck in traffic, still got wet when it rained, everyones gofer and tent carrier and hurt my back on long sweepers.
I flogged the bike on, and the sidecar's still in the field at the other house I think being on the "wrong" side for the continent to register here.

You should stick it up on ebay, you'd be surprised at what people want now.

"buyer collects - from central france", nah, its sat in the field for over 12 years now + wasn't in the best shape once I'd finished playing hooligans in it & the journey back would cost more than its worth. Whats left by now if I'm lucky is a chassis and the grp shell because I nicked the mini wheel for the car trailer a few years back.
I did pull a very rotten vintage sports chair out of a pond that was so rusty the chassis was perforated right through & sold it to someone recreating a vintage scrapyard because he loved the patina...

I had a fatboy and I could/did ground the frame and primary.

I was going to comment on the lack of combos on this thread. At one time every pub with bikes outside
would have a combo or two amongst them.
I used to travel from a pub in one town to a pub in the next town every night, Every night I might well have
had 4 or more people in the box, it was a magnet for the stoned and ******.
