But the power cable is only for a genny that is a backup supply that runs a handful of times a year, 99.9% of the time it will be sat there with nothing running through it, surely that won't cause a problem ?if you chuck as you say a phone cable in with the power cable you will have a buzzing on your phone when there is power running through the cable, id guess its not going to do your ethernet any favors either.
im not an electrician so bear that in mind here. But the power cable is only for a genny that is a backup supply that runs a handful of times a year, 99.9% of the time it will be sat there with nothing running through it, surely that won't cause a problem ?
Will the phone cause interference with the ethernet and visa-versa ? that's the only pair that may be active at the same time.
@bump how much would it be to for a run of 70m fibre with media convertors at either end, ideally 100Mbit or Gbit but I suppose I could manage with only 10Mbit if it is a lot cheaper.
@wookie your looking more like £300.
