Public Liability / Contents insurance for workshop unit. Any recommendations ??

I'm expanding my motorcycle restoration and customisation business out of my home workshop into a large industrial unit.

I'll be subletting half of a workshop from a large engineering set up which is a non-profit 'Hobby'.

I need to get insurance. Liability and contents insurance to start with.

Can anyone recommend a company or organisation to go through ???

You might have a big problem getting insurance on half a workshop, and anything to do with bikes will make it doubly difficult. I would suggest speaking to some specialist brokers, and seeing what they have to say.

I friend of mine was renting a unit and doing the same thing. He was covered for contents, liability, and the motor insurance on his car, van and any bike he needed to test ride..

That was with Network Trade.

He was paying £1400 a year. Considering I pay £1200 at the moment for business insurance on two vans, I think I'll be calling them up.

iNSURANCE IS A LOTTERY. If I keep my 5th wheel at home on the drive its cheaper than keeping it in storage on a Gold rated
CaSSOA site. With security CCTV and locked gates and 3 great big German shepherds . All because of the postcode it is in.. lol
