Morning folks.
Yesterday I started spraying the Base coat over a spot repair I carried out on my bootlid (rattle can jobby I'm afraid) after a fair few coats the primed area is still showing through.
I'm now in the position where I need to order another can but didn't want to waste the money if it's still going to show through no matter how many coats I shoot over it. This was a bit of an experiment for me to learn the steps and process of body repair / painting, a spare bootlid can be had for £40 so I don't want to throw loads more money at it tbh.
So I guess my question is, should another can do the trick or was there something I should have done at the primer stage to avoid this?
Paint is reflex silver metallic over grey primer
Thanks.
