Hydraulic Seal Installing Tool ?

Does anyone know of a tool like the one in this youtube video, that is available in the UK at a sensible price?

I've a 5" bore / 4" rod hydraulic ram to re build, and last time I did this one (seven years ago) I cocked up the cap lip seal, which was an expensive mistake

Tools like that are widely available in the US but the only ones I can find here are silly money

Do what I have done, run along to your local Ag Workshop with some beer tokens and everything ready to go and the will pop them in for you.
No hassle and no bad words.

Is there only me who bends the seals exactly like the tool but with my own fingers for inserting seals?

Nope ! I think everyone will have uses their fingers to fit lip seals in that way , well at least since the day they were invented (Brammah) , I sure have been for the past 25 years .

The tool is mainly used in a production environment where you are fitting seals 8 hours a day .

Sod a soak in hot water, I cook stubborn ones in the microwave for 10mins full power!

Why expensive? dont buy the seals from manuf, get your seals separately from HES hydraulic supermarkets http://hes.grouphes.com/ they list virt all hydraulic seals at at least a quarter of the price of rip off makers, hydraulic seals like that are cheap.
Though I have fitted hundreds of hydraulic seals over the years and never used atool for it if they are a little difficult just warm them VERY GENTLY with a hot air gun or warm water.
the hard ones I used to find were the hard ptfe ones that have to be stretched over fixed pistons or rods etc and then have to relax into an external groove.

i do use a piston ring compressor tool for them, it works quite well.

only a few months ago i was pricing a similar tool to what the op was after, Abbey seals over here od them but iirc he said it was round the €150 odd mark.
if the one linked to is around the 30 quid mark its a steal.

Price has gone up a tad since Rob bought his. Mine arrived yesterday, and with delivery and VAT it was £59. Exact same item in the USA from the makers web site is $47, but shipping and import tax brings it back to much the same price.
