Torch with far more flexible lines easily available, but can be pretty costly. You may be able to use next size down torch, which will be smaller and lighter. I find the ergo type torches very cumbersome, and you might find one with a round handle easier to get on with.

Sorry fat fingers..... Approx 2 cms across.. The lead comes out of the - socket on welder unit and Upto the torch.. Along with gas lead and switch wiring..

Silicon over braid hoses are a lovely thing regarding the flexibility of the lines but to save on weight there are some cheaper options. One is simply stepping down in size to a wp9 and another is cutting the heavy rubber sheath off and replacing with a nice supple leather type.

While light wieght leads do make a difference, alot of that weight is lost from either not suppling a sheath or suppling light weight kevlar type.
Kemppi sheaths are thick heavy, inflexible rubber. They are frankly horrible. I replaced the first 3mtr with light weight kevlar zipped sleelve.
Lighter, and more flexible for less than 30quid

WP9 much smaller and lighter than 26, and is good for 125A, but a CK one with Superflex hose will cost over £100 + vat. Cheaper option is to cut off the sheath you have at the moment, and get a zipped nylon one from Ebay, which is about £20.

That's an unsheathed silicon over braided power/gas cable in the vid. As shox said the best mod for money you could make is chop off the thick rubber sheath. I like the supple leather ones like on my weld tech but the Kevlar or cloth material will be equally as good and make a huge difference to its flexibility and weight.

Depending on your torch, it might be possible to ditch the inflexible vinyl power/gas line, and fit something much more flexible.

I would suggest giving Parweld a call, ask about fitting a more flexible line, and if they can assist you can buy one from a Parweld dealer................
