Hi Kim have you tried "Land rover Connectors" on EBay? Paul supplies the club which I'm a member he does good work for the club(Ideas wise ) and sells connectors for all types of Landrover, He mite be able to help or put you in touch with somebody who can.

I ordered a few bits to hopefully finish the steering Oh, and the foam seal thing for the air box, along with bolts, once I finish that I can then fit it I'm trying to sort a new dash also as mine is pretty bad. My friend says he has a few and will get me a price tomorrow Exciting times.

Sort of. Feel much better then last week. To much moving around hurts me though.
Oh I ordered loads of plastic washers too, going to try keep steel of ali which I think causes issues ?

I would say don't overdo things, but I'm sure being a woman you will ignore it . When Mrs Robo broke her ankle she had it plastered and told to rest for a few days, no chance, she was up the stables sorting her horse out a few hours later

You'll definitely need the washers or some way of keeping the 2 materials apart.
If not you'll get bi-metal corrosion. Very common on land rovers

Hi, It's mainly if the bare metals come into contact there are problems, a good coat of paint between should be sufficient.

I'd still be careful - I had the aluminium heatshields under a car corrode though in a couple of years from using stainless washers - whereas they'd lasted 12 yrs with mild steel washers until then. Anywhere where damp and dirt (holding the moisture), as well as heat, is likely to accumulate will cause galvanic corrosion between stainless and aluminium.

Stainless is the worse thing to be touching Ali from what I understand. I'm thinking about using stainless screws for the gearbox tunnel, simply because it goes into a plastic fixing and also if water gets under the mat they rot out so badly.

Your right, you need materials that are close together in the Galvanic Table to avoid corrosion, you can see how far apart Stainless and Aluminium are:

Thanks for the reference I'll definitely be careful what I put touching what. I think I'll put a plastic washer on anything non structural that's touching.

A smear of silicone will also help, or could replace the plastic washer as a gasket.

HOLY MOTHER OF ALL THATS HOLY. I just got a price for a HCPU wiring loom for my car, £601
The standard loom, which is only slightly shorter is £399. How the hell does that work! I don't know what to do now :/ mine is so trashed, wherever it is.

I knew a entire loom wasn't going to be cheap,
I have also used 7 core in various colours and thicknesses for looms too easy to keep track of
