The limit switch's are on the oil side of things, they are linked to a little circuit board in the "sealed" dry motor casing. I think the water is getting though the cable gland. I normally work on the 'do not disturb' the gland policy, but on dismantling I discovered the gland looks at best no better on one that you would stick on an IP65 style junction box up on a wall!!
Thats why I was fishing to see if anybody else was having trouble with these things. Having three separate motors play up I was thinking there must be others having trouble.
For obvious reasons BFT ain't letting on to any problems.
