Threaded weld on stubs

ive been asked to make some ally header tanks for some friends with landies. In itself this isn't hard, get them flanged up and just weld one a night. The problem is the cap. I can get the cam lock type off eBay but would prefer to use a screw cap. Sooooooo is there anyone that could match the thread on the cap and give me a price for some ally stubs?

forgive me if im about to ask a stupid question here.
if its a header tank would it not need some way of venting or is there a pressure relief valve on it somewhere else.
the same cap as id be on a radiator which would do both jobs.
maybe it dosent need to vent so like i say, forgive me.

The standard cap has a pressure release in it , hence wanting to use them

I guess your talking about 200/300 tdi or v8 header tanks with the threaded cap with inbuilt pressure relief?

There are a few people that already build them (such as ally sport or allard) give them a call to see if they will sell you a few or take a header tank to a machine shop to measure the thread (or alternatively measure it yourself and make a sketch) and get some made

You're guessing right I'm trying to avoid allisport and allard, I dread to think what sort of money those boys would want

Pic is of a Ford cap but shows the relief valve of threaded rad/header tank caps for anyone not familiar with them...

Pace Products (and maybe Pro Alloy) sell necks to suit Ford caps (52 x 2.5mm 60 degree thread IIRC) and the caps are available cheaply in black as well as idiot yellow. The necks are about the same money as the bayonet type from Pace IIRC
There's about eleventy million different thread sizes used, the internet suggests Land Rover might be 52 x 4mm?

I may be being an idiot but I can't find the necks listed on pro alloy, only caps, and neither of them on pace

They'll be in the Pace price list (pdf download from their site) if they're not on the main site. Might have to phone Proalloy (Wayne is/used to be the radiator/heat exchanger core guy), i'm pretty sure they used to list them on their site but might be making that up as they don't actively retail everything that they make

Do you know the ID/OD of the neck. I have some heavy wall ally tube which might suit that.

I will have a measure up tomoro suffering from what I can only assume is the worst cold any man has ever had, I've constructed a nest on the sofa and I don't plot on moving for the foreseeable
