80x80x 3 or heavier wall shs set deep into the ground 1500 is a big single gate 3000 is getting on for being nuts and I should take care not to build to much Wieght into it also better if it's not solid so the wind can pass though
Ok If it's half a big double with automation etc but seriously you need to look at this with care
Three meters is not challenging as gates go; I'm currently building six meter ones (with lots of bars for cattle, very heavy) and have done up to ~nine.
For the post removal a sliding sleeve is OK in theory but if it's hardly ever (if at all) going to be removed I would opt to bolt a plate into the concrete with threads or welded nuts. The trouble with the sliding sleeve type is that it must be a tight fit or it'll wobble and this may make it stiff to pull out. Also, when it rusts it'll end up a permenant fixture...
Bolt it down so it's solid, if you ever need to remove it (i.e for large vehicle access) just make sure to put the bolts back in immediately to stop anything getting in.
It's a pet hate of mine calling mild steel "wrought iron"Just a thought, how about a Bi-Fold design http://www.cannockgates.co.uk/shop/...gh-Folding-Wrought-Iron-Style-Driveway-Gates/
