Hi, looking for some advice on fluid tip size for epoxy and high build primer. Would 1.8 or 2.0mm be best? I am planning on purchasing a Devilbiss FLG5 with 1.4 tip that I can use for clear and basecoat but as only a novice and DIYer I cant afford 2 guns. So far I have used a 1.0mm £10 ebay gun for spraying some alloys etc but I am going to be doing whole panels as I do some restoration work. Learning as I go with help on here and lots of research and enjoy learning a new skill.

Langy would you say that a cheep primer gun is all you need? I have also been looking at the Fast Mover LVLP 1.8mm FMT3006 which is a good deal at only £26. I know you say 2.0mm so will continue to look at other guns with 2.0mm also.

I just use a cheap ebay copy for primer, can't see the point in using an expense gun, they lay the primer on lovely
