iPad mini replacement touch screen

Just wondering if anyone had bought/fitted a replacement touch screen for the mini, and had any recommendations/links as to good ones, good supplier etc., or are all the ones available on Ebay and the like pretty much one and the same, quality wise?

Put a new screen on a Samsung phone and found genuine on ebay. Put a new screen in a laptop and bought non genuine on eBay. Didn't have an issue with either, but would aim for genuine where possible.

I changed the screen on my old blackberry 4 times, cheapest on ebay every time

They all got damaged due to work/scaffold/messing around incidents and it's still being used by a mate over a year since the last screen (he's more carefull than me)

ive changed screens on iphones, they are cheap on ebay but not genuine and as far as the iphone screens go using after market screens stops the proximity sensor working as the cheap screens have one oval hole where as genuine have 2 small round holes, but they are easy to swap

Cheers chaps. I'll update as to what the replacement is like when I get around to ordering and fitting one. What's the proximity sensor for btw Snooper? The sensing proximity bit I'm obviousy understanding, but for what function is that used?

the proximity sensor is only applicable if it can be used as a phone, I posted just as an example of cheap screens, the sensor turns off the screen on the phone when put to your ear otherwise your ear would be pressing buttons during a call

Ah. Couldn't for the life of me think why a proximity sensor might be needed. Now I know. This technology stuff is too damn confusing these days.

Typical example of taking yonks to get around to doing owt, one last question before I order one. Do they all come with the sticky strips for fixing the new screen on, or are they a separate item/order with some? Got a bit brain fried looking through the listings.
