I have made the male tool already, using GRP filler and wood, which works perfectly for rubber pad forming, just thought I might try female made using the same materials, but with steel box around it which I can also press onto.

Last one I made I went the long way round of making it from 6 individual squares. I have a folder but I didn't want to crack the anodising. This too was satin anodised as you can see. Which was great for internal protection and easy enough to paint on the outside. The trick to its weld ability is down to how you remove the coating. I got contamination in a couple areas which I removed and rewelded to ensure it was a good water tight joint.

Not really mate. It's only down to the fact that your material was contaminated that you struggled. If that was a fresh sheet we'd be looking at a gorgeous example I'm sure of that.

If you want to make it easy you can use thin wall tube and just cap the ends.

Is that a TIG cooler I wonder? Looks very nicely made, but likely to have taken quite a time to make? Last one I did was like this:

2 full days total.
I did it over a month of putting in an hour here half hour there and fit it in around me.

Looks very nice, but must have taken ages to make? Yes stainless tank cooler went with old set, it was quieter than OE on the Kemppi though, which seems to be a bit noisy.

Procon set ups are always quiet. Not ages. 2 days roughly.

I worked it out at 2 x 8 hour days at £15 an hour even is only £240 !!!

Not been funny mate but 1 I didn't charge £240. and 2 it's no bodies business what I do charge for my work apart the the guy who requested it. I don't want people second guessing what I make on work I do on open forum.

Surely the hourly rate charged by a business, and someone doing jobs at home, who has a well paid day job, are two entirely different things? It is up to anyone what they charge though, and as long as both customer and producer are happy, seems good to me.
