what is everyone using for the flue on their gas bottle burners? I need around 4" dia and around 1M length so I can 2 from it
4mm thick pipe . I used it as it's a size they carry in stock and I can get it within an hour or so..What sort of stuff do you use? Normal 100mm pipe? Or anything a bit different. Just looking for search terms for eBay really as 4" isn't cheap
4 " for a small burner, 6 " for a big one. 1 mm stainless is the best for an indoors stove, as it radiates off a ton of heat and doesn't corrode through. Even 5 mm thick steel corrodes in a few years.
Cast iron drain pipe can be got dirt cheap from the scrappy, and it resists corrosion for a very long time. Its ideal for straight flues.
The area where you grind the enamel off will rust through.
I might be getting a load of cast iron drainpipe soon. 6 " i think.
You dont weld the flue to the stove, just a collar, and fit the flue into that ,which allows for expansion.6" will be a bit big for my needs and i dont fancy welding cast iron to steel with a stick welder. think i have found something suitable just waiting for a reply to say if they still have any
You d

I have plenty of 4" 3mm wall pipe that you could have for £15 a meter, but I'm in Rugby :-(I will obviously paint it again afterwards with vht paint just wanted to make sure I can just grind and weld without having anything else to deal with.
Unless anyone else has a link to 4" dia 3-4mm wall pipe in 1M lengths for about 20 quid
