You getting little digs in is tedious also.im surprised you didnt lock the thread after having your say last.
I enjoyed that. I thought that it was interesting how much he was against discrete components and was more in favour of surface mount components; kit and boards built out of discrete components are far easier to repair by most of us!I am not entering the Chinese direct V Chinese/Uk support arguments because they can run for ever and everyone is entitled to their own views.
I did think this was a very interesting clip though, now perhaps the guy is talking rubbish, I know more about open heart surgery than the internals of anything full of caps, resistors and the like to be able to judge his accuracy of comments, also I suspect any similar item could be opened up and some or even as many faults found..still found it interesting though.
Not my finding at all. I have had excellent service from r-tech and the people I have talked with there have been very knowledgeable and conscientious. The thing that puts me right off anything related to R-Tech is the feeling that the company is run by suits with far more interest in promotion/advertising/profit, than providing the best possible equipment for the price.

I'm amazed, and not a little ****** off, that this thread has degenerated into yet another rtech-bashing diatribe.
I'm out.
Ok ok that's enough. Too many threads end up locked as it is, let's all loosen our sphincters and enjoy a Saturday night without having a who had the worst R Tech session.
I'm enjoying several pints in a pub, and I wish you all a very good evening.
All my posts from this point onwards will be gibberish

I hear you mate but which bit is questionable. The other thing is newcomers are buying them but they don't seem to have many complaints regarding false advertising. Don't get me wrong I'm not a fan but I've never once heard anyone say "this Rtech unit I've bought is sh#t because it doesn't weld like Rtech said it would" if people ain't complaining then what does it matter. No problem at all with budget welding gear with good warranty support, but not that comfortable with questionable advertising/promotion, which is clearly aimed at newcomers.
Apart from which surely you would take this up with advertising standards agency not on a forum?I hear you mate but which bit is questionable.
