Who would you recommend I ask for a 24 year old with 2 years ncb and a crash on record to insure me in an m3?

That's silly money, obviously where you live it's low car crime riskI'm 24, a crash and no ncb to use as its on other cars....£390 FC on a modified 1973 Gran Torino with a 500cu V8, its not drivable at the minute but its insured as if it was. Before then it was £451 FC when I was driving it daily at 23
I've used classic line, A plan and now I'm with flux as they were the cheapest
That's crazyBased on the fact that flux wouldn't touch me in a diesel Alfa I don't think I will bother with them.
The reason yours is so low is because in your age group there are not many people driving those vehicles, so by proxy there can't be many claims against people in your age group driving those vehicles, so the premiums are low. I have found that quite a few people my age drive the sorts of cars I'm looking at and most of them get involved in a bump so the premiums are higher. This was explained to me by an independent broker as no one looks at power or vehicle value anymore, just the ratio of claims against age for that vehicle type. This is why I can insure a 330 for pennies, but not an m3, and I can also insure a 250hp Mazda6 for 320 a year but can't insure a 120hp Alfa for less than a grand

You'd be surprised at what they can get when driven right, the V8 in my series one land rover got 25 on the way back from Surrey to Windermere
I think the stated 240 from honda is a little optimistic actually, because they are running single throttle body and plenmum with a cat etc etc. I think most are around the 220 mark,when on a dyno we use to get 254 ish from ours but that was with throttle bodies and a straight through with a re-map and adjusting the v tec switching the power can be a lot more evenly distributed than honda have them set, they like to give the turbo feel I think.S2000 is 240 bhp
Yes I do but the car was originally insured at that price when I was living and working in Crewe........which is neither of those two!
Its not just the car, they base it off engine size and performance. Remember I've got a crash too and up until last year I was paying £900 wish to insure a discovery!

One thing I must say about the s2000 having built a few they are fantastically reliable engine we used to rev our's to max on every gear change on stages and test days etc and it just kept going and going mind you was dry sumped so that does help i suppose.
Very interesting the only part that is hand polished is the inside of the engine block I presume to get as little oil mist in the crankcase air as possible because oil mist wraps round the crank like a rope at high rpm.

Right to explain it does have a throttle body that is only used when the engine is cold, once warm the the valvetronic takes over and the throttle body is held fully open.I knew I got the info from somewhere. Forward to 45 seconds and it states the valvetronic system removes the need for a throttle body.......
