You got that from a scrap merchant ??? I need to find a better scrap merchantYep, the cash came out of my wallet fast before they had a chance to change their minds.
I love having a local scrap merchant that deals with engineering firms.
Charges me £1 per kilo for Ali.
I once had to cut a brand new piece of 6ftx10ftx100mm thick Ali billet up with a 9" grinder and forklift it into the skip after a planner ordered the wrong stuff and they couldn't get it in the VMC . They'd stopped the scrap not the week before so I couldn't even get it for myself. I think we worked it out to have cost somewhere in the region of 7k, and it went straight in the bin![]()
I did think you might prefer to do that. I'm actually in Bristol, I haven't updated my profile. I picked up one of your surface tables from you.
I thought you might have got it from there...lolYep, the cash came out of my wallet fast before they had a chance to change their minds.

And me...lolYep, they have contracts with loads of local engineering firms. The yard is clean and all the metals are sorted into bins.
Stainless, mild, Titanium, HSS, brass, Iconal, Crome, Ali etc etc.
I love it.
Depends on how you mean by excited???Is it wrong that big pieces of metal get me excited?
