Don't know if you ever come this way (Manchester) Tom, but feel free to call in and have a look at my little myford for inspiration
I think that site design just made my eyes fall out of my head
Looks tidy, might it by any chance be yours?
Last time I was near Manchester was to go to the Binzel Headquarters with my boss but don't really get up there often, really do appreciate the offer thoughDon't know if you ever come this way (Manchester) Tom, but feel free to call in and have a look at my little myford for inspiration

Fair enough, cheers for pointing it out then. Seen any lathes whilst you've been grazing?Nah, other end of the country from me - just spotted it while grazing the 'Bay [as you do.....]
Looks tidy but no indication of whether it is single phase or 3, then there would be the nightmare of logistics from Telford to Daventry with that behemoth. There's a Colchester bantam being auctioned in the same auction as this drill

In Daventry (I think, I'm using my phone at mo).
Blimey thats a nice looking bit o' kit, 3 phase and a little out of my price range though :PNot on my radar atm, I've got a small R&A which does all I need.......for the momentAlso, space is at a premium, although a small bench-top mill would be nice too....
Up here, such small machines are like hen's teeth. This is probably too far away from you, but the ad does say it can be palletised.....

For the price it's going for (currently at least....) you could easily add a bit for new motor/inverter and hire of a tail lift for a day!Looks tidy but no indication of whether it is single phase or 3, then there would be the nightmare of logistics from Telford to Daventry with that behemoth.

Very true, I'll keep it bookmarked & see whether it tickles my fancy in a day or so whilst having a think about the logisticsFor the price it's going for (currently at least....) you could easily add a bit for new motor/inverter and hire of a tail lift for a day!
I think that's the reason the myfords and the like sell for so much, you can just about get them in the back of an estate car.
Ahh.. I hate seeing POA on listings, sometimes I can't be bothered to call them up for them to say an astronomical figure thats out of my budget. That viceroy looks to be well worth the 1400 quid, nice little machine. Small lathes sell for a premium, and pallet delivey is great unless you have a gravel drive. Even that is easily over come with a couple of sheets of ply wood.
The myford on the link i posted wont be that dear, not sure why he does the poa thing, but suspect its him selling the machines rather than his buisness, to keep him below the vat register figure. Hes a very straight guy, i have delt with him a couple of times.
Would never find much use out of a roller or a folder, or at least I don't think I would. Most of the work I do is box section rather than sheet or pipe workSet of rollers and a folder.
I made my own folder which is far better than the cheap junk about but the amount of times I've thought "rollers would be handy right now". Space is the issue with them though which is why I don't have a set. YET!
That's because you don't have a folder/roller. Buy/make the gear and expand your work load.Would never find much use out of a roller or a folder, or at least I don't think I would. Most of the work I do is box section rather than sheet or pipe work![]()
