Having worked for Lansing Bagnals/Lansing Linde as a service engineer, your better off pulling out of the deal, nothing but a headache most of the parts will only fit that Forklift model, the best bit (the batteries have already been scraped or reused).
Best advice is to RUN AWAY QUICK....
Well, thanks to eBay I now have a forklift truck

LOL.
I really have no idea why. Its a couple of miles up the road and less than fifty quid.
So I took a punt and see if I can use any bits. Assuming I can get it home!
I'm guessing these things are a bit heavy?

Plus some big off-road tyres. Could be quite fun.Put steel cage around the forks and a platform, that'd be a great asset for painting peoples huse front elevations?.
Hey,why not add a platform and cage around the forks and use it to repair your gutters, paaint the front of the house, erect an aerial on the side othe roof.....hire it out to anyone in the street/s locallt for a £15 a day
I think I have narrowed down my option to this: hire a suitable transporter for a half day, strip off any usable items on the way to the yard, weigh in the rest.
My guess is there's about £250-£300 scrap value (assuming the yard will take a machine like this), I might salvage say £100-£200 "worth" of hydraulics. Half a day is gonna cost me £200 ish (guess) plus I won't be working on my current projects.
It's a lot of work for not a lot of reward. I think I am going to pass. Sadly.
I'll pop in to see the seller tomorrow, maybe take a few prezzies for his dog and make my apologies.
