Large roll cabinet options & insight please

I have out grown my storage capacity. Although I technically have the entire space of my unit to fill, I would rather not have blow moulded boxes scattered all over.
I already have a 40" roll cabinet full and a 660mm roll cabinet and top box full, and a side locker too.
I have seen on the bay, this item

which is nice in width but much too short,

There is also a Sealey AP6612 which fits the bill but is dearer still, and not quite as long as the 72" above.

Can anyone suggest any other makes etc, not interested in snap on or Mac, too much dead money, and I don't mind second hand if anyone is selling up.

I get all my cabinets from office clear outs, filing cabinets, sets of drawers, big stationary cabinets. All steel.

I had looked at the Costco ones, a friend was in there recently and was taken with the boxes - he too has too many tools. I have seen those in the flesh and thought the finish looked awful. Costco used to have brushed Stainless boxes, I don't know if they come and go?

Just a alternative viewpoint, why do you need to roll all your tools around? I have a box and drawers on top of it (from halfords... it was a leaving gift from a previous job) but I almost always leave it stationary and just walk from it to the job in hand. On the rare occasions I need it mobile (working out the back of the van, or big job that wont fit in small workshop) I just take the top box off it which contains the more common hand tools and the odd specialist one if I know I need that. Taken to extremes for a example, you wouldn't want to roll your chuck key for the lathe all day, you'd want it to stay with the lathe where you use it. Ditto I wont use the rivetter every day, so that stays in its home. I have a second toolbox with some specifics in (tap and dies, and wedges and chisels and some thread insert tooling), drawer unit with just rapid hose connectors in it etc.
Rolling your entire toolbox contents around on wheels seems like a garage mechanic thing where you have to fit everything into your box because other people are in the area all the time. It also makes it incredibly easy to steal them all in one go, which sometimes I wonder if I could even recover from that happening I've been building up my workshop for so long.
Stationary I know where the tools all are. What I have to be is disciplined about putting everything back in its home and over time ruthless at what constitutes something commonly required often enough to make the top drawer unit home.

Oh it never moves. Roll cabinet is just common terminology isn't it. If it didn't have wheels, things wouldn't roll underneath it right to the back, out of reach.
Would be handy to keep the wheels for floor painting purposes though.

Thats what sack trucks are for, temporary wheels to be applied to cabinets + cupboards to move them a bit to paint underneath every few years :-)

Search for used plan chests, they make great fixed tool chests.

I looked in costco today as i am looking for drawer options to build under the bench, thought these were good value too

Yes very tempting for the money. I re-read the description and they are almost 1m high with castors which is a good bit taller than I first envisaged.

There was a nice Snap-On roll cab and top box in the sale section, looked in good order and a hell of a lot cheaper than new money. I think I paid about £3,500 for a box like that ten-fifteen years ago.

HA yeh my 'small lightweight portable ' rally box weighs about 100kg

Have a trip to Charlies Queensferry I was looking at some of the boxes there, they seem good and solid and reasonable

I have got an old ex MOD Bott roll cab and it's pretty flimsy. It is on my job list to properly TIG the corners and joints instead of just spotwelds as it flexes and wobbles all over the place when rolled. Other than that the drawers are excellent and are all fully ball raced.

I went for the Sealey Ap6612 roll cabinet in the end. 5'6" wide.
Most of the other ones I looked at had at least two rows of deep drawers at the bottom. Deep drawers = stacking things = I might as well stack it on the floor.
