cheers for that - I bought one of them chainsaws in the summer and knacked the chain, so a couple of spares at a tenner each is just the job!

Be warned - that was my first ever compressor and I had it a year and all it did was persuade me that I needed a £250 one instead!
and you were responsible for me getting a £250 compressor too. I'd given my aldi compressor serious abuse for a few years, and only upgraded to the larger compressor because it was quieter

Now you tell us...I've just bought the Lidl equivalent.
It'll do for all I'm likely to need, be nice to have a larger one but when space is at a premium.......Hey, Ho....

I've a compressor which looks similar, if not identical to the one shown.
With the pressure tweaked to 150 psi it's a handy little thing. It's soon going to be combined with a 47kg propane cylinder for some better capacity, which I expect to be quite useful for many air tools.

Its a waste of time adding a bigger tank. It just makes the motor run all the time then it burns out.
If it can't keep a tool running with eg 50 litre tank, then its only going to be worse trying to maintain pressure in a tank double the size.

the aldi compressors are pretty robust, I would often have it running for more than an hour continiously when I was doing grit blasting and it the thermal cut out only switched the compressor off on very hot days a couple of times.
my old aldi compressor was small enough to fit into a corner of my garage,but the new one is a bit bigger and ended up being modified to fit under my bench

I think it'll be fine, because the extra capacity will run an air tool for long enough for the job required, giving the compressor plenty of time to catch up for next time. It's not something I'm doing for continuous tool usage.
