Speedglas 9002V FlexView

hi guys, as per the title does anybody use this helmet and can they comment on quality etc?
i know speedglas have a good reputation and are supposed to be comfortable but i am looking for real world info not just there website blurb.
the reason i ask is i have just bought a used but very clean one off of the evil bay for not a lot of money.

i currently have a chinese job (£20 from ebay) and an optrel solarmatic i purchased about 9 years ago from a local welding supplier, the optrel is showing its age and does a bit of flickering when i'm welding at lo amps with the new tig, and the chinese lid is ok but not very comfy so i was looking to replace them with a good used speedglas or similar.

i know a few of you guys weld for a living and am just looking for an honest review of the speedglas.

I'd say the www blerb is bang on, I've gone through the range and now have my 9100XX and a 9100XX/FX+Adlflo, money well spent imo. 9002V is a great helmet super light and nice to use all day long.

good news then, cheers for the reply arthur, i got the speedglas for £150 including the 3m air feed, filters, belt and charger. so i think it was a bargain.

That's a very good price so likely worth buying if all is good with it

thanks kent, its not the adflo unit on the screen its a 3m jupiter turbo which i think does the same job. i have hit the buy it now so hears hoping it is all as described.
going by the pictures and description i have no reason to suspect otherwise and i do have the protection of paypal for what its worth.

Have 2, the older 9002 and the newer one. Must have had the older one 10+ years. Recommend

I have had a 9002X for 12 years. Paid a small fortune for it back then. Very very good lids. Head band plastic bolts are its only weak point. I'm on my 3rd set. (Not bad really a set every 4 years) Threads strip after a while.

Excellent choice!! and really a bargain with the adflo kit included!! nice one, i'm using the 9100 at work at the mo....the headband has improved on this version!

cheers sparkey , it arrived this morning and all looks ok with it, for the money i paid it is definitely a bargain, not had a chance to try it yet as i've been getting the bike ready for its MOT .

Ouch....yeah i just got my car back from the garage today.....seems like i will be welding alot this moth to pay for all that..... When it's new you can use the adflo unit for about 8 hours before it needs recharging, but this will diminish a bit over time...

And i almost forgot....go easy on the baked beans and onions when you need to use the adlflo.........since you're wearing it on your back just above the waist.... just raise the shield when you need to fart!!
