Well it was a bargain to any one wanting an acdc cheap. That buy now button should of been tapped on first sight. It's now at 800 notes with in a couple hours so I can't see him accepting offers any more.

Or knows someone he can immediately sell it to for more than he bought it!

I've been looking for an ac/dc TIG for a while but planned to get one on finance from my local welding supplier. After seeing this I was too tempted.

I'm currently high bidder and am waiting for his response. If I don't like it at the end of the day I know a chap who'll have it straight off me.

I've listed a few high value machines on ebay with a 99p start bid and a 10 day listing. Quite often people get carried away with the bidding and bid more than you would pay for a brand new machine. I'm sure most folks on here do plenty of research but i know some don't!

.they even charge a percentage on the postage price you list .....

That's because of people like my friend who was selling stuff on buy it now at 99p with £4 postage for something that would fit in a second class envelope.

Paul something like that is always going to pull more than your money back. You don't really have to "need" it for it to be a worth while purchase. The guy had it up for a grand it's worth nearly twice that certainly 600-700 more than. I wish I'd hit the buy now button thinking about it as it's an easy £500 profit if sold cheap and fast for doing nothing. Obviously this is all subject to it working properly. But that's the reason we collect with cash. Any how it appears he's ended the listing so hey be a bit quicker with the next one that pops up.

My thoughts exactly. As soon as tom shoved on a bid the buy now option went. Someone probably offered him 1100-1200 for it and he's gone for it as it's more than he was asking to begin with.

Got to say if I'd of seen it the thread would have been about the deal of the century.

I snapped up an almost new unit with a cooler and 8mtr leads. For £1800 4yrs ago, so know the value.

I snapped up the same unit with cooler pedal trolly torch and a seperate torch double switch (I'll never use) only 8 months old for £2400.

There was a non working MW2200 complete with cooler sold on Gumtree from somewhere in Essex for £250 quite recently!
