Bargain on the bay

The above item no is a lightly used privately owned acdc mls 2300. Fancy Axc panel.
Currently bidding at £500. Asking for a buy now price of £1000.
That's a real bargain IMO and they are seriously good very expensive. £2500 new plus.
Won't be there till auction end I doubt. You won't find it under tig welder listings so it may (luckily) avoid a massive crowd.
Bit of a tip off to those who (like me) would prefer a high end bargain.

I wouldn't be too worried about distance to your local agent Tom. That is a world class machine there and the bargain outweighs that aspect. IMVHO of course.

The BIN option goes with the first bid, so it's bids only now unless he does a private sale through message the buyer or off ebay altogether.

You could offer the seller his £1k and see what he says, the problem there is unless he puts it back on for you as a buy it now you would have no ebay or paypal protection.

The higher the bids go then the less chance he will be interested in a BIN, they will lead him to believe it will go beyond what he was willing to accept.

If you want it for £1k then I think you would have to act very fast..as in..today.

You could be cheeki and tell him if he wants a real quick deal like NOW!!!! You could put £900 in his hand today ! I bet he'd take it. If the but now price has gone that will bid over £1000 I guarantee it. He's not gonna get it cheap any more unless he messages the seller and agrees a price to end the auction BEFORE it starts to take off.

he's still got to pay fees now even he ends it early. eBay changed the rules, to try and prevent people selling outside of the site.....soon as it gets bids he pays, if he ends it he pays, ebay don't you just love em

future tip for anyone selling high value items is to list it with a decent price then invite offers in the listing text. that way you can avoid the exorbitant levy they charge these days......don't mind em making a profit, but there's profit and there's profiteering..they even charge a percentage on the postage price you list .....
