You can buy wiring pre-braided for doing classic looms if you want something like langy's above.

That stuff has been around a long time, personally I prefer to lace my wiring

I had to do loom lacing as an apprentice using waxed string.

Lock stitch & marling hitch come to mind & do the loops correctly tot the lazy way the waxed thread could cut your hands to, did a lot in cabinets.

we got called back to one site to align every screw head in the rack

I used to work for a twit like that. He insisted that all the screwheads on the alarm control boxes were aligned. These were boxes that were going into storage, that would then be issued to the installers, who didn't give a rat's 4rse about screwhead alignment. All that good work gone for nothing.

I always align screw heads in sockets, switches etc., has come in handy in the past when someone says they haven't touched something and I can tell by the screwheads they have
