hey guys and girls what would the guys on here recommend for less than a grand ? for a welding machine to be used in a business?

Tig, mig, arc? Can you already weld? Do you have 3 phase or single phase? New or used? As above - what are you going to be welding, steel, aluminium, stainless ?

For mma you'll get a mini fleet, for mig you'll do very well and get a cracker. For DC tig you'll be fine and a nice unit is achievable for under 1k for acdc tig in an industrial business I would say throw more money at it.

£1000 each or for both a mig/tig?
If it's each you'll easily get a decent mig and DC tig single phase for that sort of money. If it's for the pair you are starting to compromise on industrial quality especially on the tig side of things.

I can do you a used Lincoln invertec V270 TP water cooled machine for £1,500. That will do a grand job on TIG, and Stick. And I can sort you out with a 450 amp inverter MIG/Stick for about £1,200. PM me if any of the above floats your boat.

In my game, this is called "solutioneering". Don't tell us what you want to buy - tell us what you want to do.

So mainly welding mild steel. "Mainly" or "only"? Any aluminium or stainless steel?
Can you give us an idea on thickness? Going further, being specific on the jobs (marine, automotive, garden, sculpture, farming) would be great.

We're not trying to be d***s about this but you're kind of saying "I want to buy a car - what car should I buy?" - tons of folks on here with vastly more experience than me will be able to give you great advice if you can be a bit more specific about what you're looking to achieve.
