Belt driven workshop clear out on the bay

Two giant lathes, a massive pillar drill and a load of pulleys and line shafts in Cheltenham, might be of use to someone. The biggest lathe as got to be worth it for just one of the chucks, it probably won't make scrap value. I wonder if there's a way I could get that drill home?

The annoying thing is I have actually got the space (Including the head room) and the money (At the moment) for it, I just can't get it home. It looks as though it will break down into smaller pieces which might just be manageable for someone with a big van...

I spotted that, its a velocette and it looks to be a hard tail with tellies on the front

Would something that big have a powered tailstock? I would think it's very heavy to move it manually!

That's a really nice camel back drill, in a lot better condition than mine.

The better of the 2 lathes ended with no bids, probably too high a starting price but if it was over here it would sell no problem, most likely to me! Be worth saving this link in case it's relisted.

I've often thought it would be nice to have a line shaft set-up in a workshop. I already have 2 flat belt drive machines - a drill similar to the one on ebay and a 1909 Milford No 4 power hacksaw.

Send him Message along the lines of 'it didn't sell for 500 so I'll offer you 400 and be along with the cash tomorrow, it'll save you a heap of eBay fees' etc etc etc...

Works for me, most of the time anyway
