I'm just wondering if you actually need a car port? if its only covering it for the winter why go to the expense of a car port then cover it with a tarpaulin when a good car tarpaulin is alls thats needed unless you have ideas of working on it through the winter?
Wow the price from davies timber is a lot cheaper than wicks. When I decide on what timber I need I shall buy from them and delivery if far cheaper..I find Davies Timber in Wythall very competitive for external use wood etc.
take the bar code labels off the sheets before you fix as iff there on outside it will ruin your life looking at them and not within reachOk see what you thing about my small car port shelter so far . I think I am going with treated 2x 75 x50mm for the bottom of the frame , then 50 x 50 mm for the uprights and the roof sections ? Then use screwfix pvc corrugated 1830 x662mm sheets for roof and sides..
timber works out at £60.72
corrugated pvc sheet £67.90
Screws and plastic washers £20.00
Wood treatment for end of cuts £14.41
Total £163.03
