quick release couplers stuck open

Recently a few of my quick release couplers have stuck open, some of them are newish too, just a couple of months old. Is there any way to fix the problem without replacing the couplers?

Wd40 will sort it

If they are new, take them back.

Good house keeping with your air line couplings IE wd40 will keep your connectors working well, failing to keep them lubricated and your be returning connectors like your shucking peas, completely avoidable

Any of mine that have stuck open has been due to corrosion from water and age, the zinc plating wears off the internals and the corrosion starts.

not iff you keep em lubed...i have airline fittings on my gas torches and burners on the roofs and they never seize up,outdoors too because i give them a little squirt once a month

It's the fixed ones on the wall lines that suffer, constantly under prerssure and dampness in the line but the ones on the hoses have never been a problem.

My local agricultural merchant now only stocks the stainless QR couplings and at about the same price as the old zinc plated ones.
