Epoxy / Seam Sealer / Stone Chip / Top Coat - Timings and Advice

Hi;

I'm sure I have asked this before but cannot for the life of me find my post.

Can someone offer some advice on the minimum timings between the following:

1. Epoxy Primer (Joton Jotamastic 87).
2. Seam Sealer(Ever Build Tecnic Pura Flex http://www.everbuild-tecnic.co.uk/product/puraflex-40/ )
3. U-POL Gravitex.
4. Cellulose Top Coat.

I was going to lay another coat of Epoxy over the Seam Sealer but was advised that this was not required.

Found the Technical Data which says Cure Time 3.5mm 24Hours, it also says Paintability - Water Based (yes) Solvent Based (Trial Necessary), so looks like I need to let it dry for 24 Hours before attempting to chuck Gravitex over it, especially with Cellulose Thinner :-(

Maybe I should brush paint some Epoxy over it?

This stuff was recommended to me for Auto use so I thought it would be fine?

A question instead of an answer I'm afraid: that seam sealer is the stuff you use on bolt on panels and the like? Is that the stuff to use on freshly plug welded panels? U-POL Gravitex is the stuff you plaster all over the underbody?

Thanks - I did search that way but all of the separate threads come up as multiple posts, I did an advance search though and eventually found what I was looking for :-)

The Pura Flex was recommended and covered here , wether the panels bolt on or plug welded would make no difference? Any freshly welded panels are painted with Epoxy first, as that ensures that the metal is protected from corrosion and then seam sealer applied at the joints over the Epoxy.

Once the seam sealer has cured (24 -48 hours) then I'll apply another coat of Epoxy, this is not strictly required but would ensure a layer of paint between the seam sealer and the Gravitex, which can be a tad destructive if applied too thick (or so I have read).

I suppose rather than laying another coat over the whole area, a coat just over the seam sealer may suffice?

Seam Seal has been on three days now as I have been away so it will be more than cured!!
I have a few areas to fill (body filler), I am tempted to put another coat of Epoxy on as the rear valance only go a thin coat?

yes seamsealer can be used over the plug welds I would use epoxy first then seal it, twice the protection and gravitex is paintable and can be used on sills door bottoms valences underbody and so on
