Since so many 'entertainers' have shuffled off their mortal coils recently, it was truly heartening to hear Nicholas Parsons talking to Steve Wright this afternoon on the way home. At 90 years old, he was still sharp and witty. He has been hosting Just a Minute for 48, yes forty-eight, years amongst other things of course.

Oh gosh no Snooper, I can't stand the guy. In fact radio 2 seems a dumping ground for many of the presenters I don't like. God bless Terry Wogan though he is semi retired now.

Just bin steve wright. A while ago there was a on line vote to ask the BBC to remove him, shame it did not come to much.
The listening figures go up when he is of air.

I don't mind most the old radio 1 jock's and wogan wasn't to bad, but I have to say I opt for more conversation rather then music these days, been involved in music all my life and very rare I listen to any at home

I have little choice, MW or FM in the Octavia at the minute, so I am punching buttons continually.

I did know Nicholas was alive/was not dead, but finding something worth it for twenty minutes is difficult.

I can't stand Steve Wright, for one he talks or tries to sing over the records and he has to be the worst interviewer ever, I'm surprised that he doesn't ask his guests what their favourite colour is!
His choice of music is pap as well, he seems to favour Stock, Aiken and Waterman crud, middle of the road frothy pop and irritating boy bands.

My portable DAB radio keeps me sane during the workday. Sadly I leave before TeaTime Theme Time and it is not easy to stealth text for the Chain, so not quite as much fun as I would like.
