Someone tried to explain to me about light travelling through a vacuum
If you want to be accurate, you can make a Nanolightsecond:

Now that's qualityGave the young lad a 6" rule and asked him to measure the rust hole in his car and cut a plate to suit. Came back 30 seconds later and asked for a metric rule as he didn't understand Imperial so I gave the rule a rub between my fingers and handed it back metric side up. He was quite amazed at my magical powers.
I can't find it right now but somewhere I've got a steel rule with MM, normal (1/2, 1/4, 1/8) inches, decimal inches and inches divided into halves of thirds (1/3, 1/6, 1/12, 1/24, 1/48, 1/96). Has anyone seen this before?
I think it was a multi scale ruler.
