I have a sack barrow with a 200kg capacity which I hardly every use and then I only loaded it to about 75kg max, with yesterday being the one and only exception of over 100kg when having to move the new saw which was just a shade over 130kg.
This sack barrow gets used once or twice a year and when I need it, I need it. But every time I get it out to use it, the flippin' inner tubes have perished and don't hold any air.
A couple of years back I did try solid tyres but they perished within 12 months. There is nothing special about the the conditions I store it in as it is kept in a dry wooden shed with no paints, oils or chemicals nearby.
I changed from the solids and back on to new pneumatic tyres and inner tubes about six months ago, and yesterday when I got it out to use it the flippin' inner tubes had perished yet again............ it doesn't matter where I buy new tubes from or what brand, they all perish within about 12 months!
The wheel rims are split rims held together with 4 X M8 bolts, and I wondering if I would get away with slightly over filling the inner tubes with some builders expanding foam while the tubes are off the rims but in the tyres, and then squeeze fitting them back into the rims before the foam sets.
What do you guys think?
