hiya all, ive recently been trying to weld. I bought a welder off ebay ages back as it was cheap :P and have only just got around to using it properly.
I did a few practice goes and ive done some welding on my car with it and it wasnt 'too' bad. Anyway, I was welding up a sill on my friends car and it was dreadfull (and bloody embarasing
) It was spitting everywhere. :/
I had cleaned the area well with a ginder and was weling 0.8mm (guestermate :P) sheet together using a sip welder running .6mm wire and co2 gas. I then came across this site and after reading the tutorials and watching the video I went to do some more practice runs. These were done on 5mm sheet.

I just used 5mm as it was laying around :P Ill try on some 1mm plate tomorrow and post up the results.
