Metal supplies in South Hertfordshire

Anyone got any recommendations for DIY friendly suppliers of sheet and box section in South Hertfordshire? Potters Bar area? I haven't found anywhere within easy drive of PB, but could easily have missed somewhere right under my nose! I have a few projects on the land rover in mind, but the B&Q prices for bits and pieces aren't sustainable for larger jobs!

I'm in bushey In Watford and I've never found anywhere decent, they are all gone, if your after ally sheet there is a place in Kings Langley

I'd love somewhere that I could have a wander and pick up bits, look at them etc before buying without having to bother someone to fetch them from behind the counter just for me to look at. This doesn't sound hopeful though!

B&Q at enfield has a selection of tube, bar, angle and box section, but it's pretty expensive!

I don't think it's a wander round and take what you want to the counter type shop, but cold be ok. Not as local for me as I'd like. No prices online though so hard to know if it's value for money.

They are ok but not as cheap as a stockholder, very rare to find a place that will let you look around, H&S took care of that !!!

Right people if its small offcuts or the odd length you need then give me a look in , im in Watford , if I can help I will , I can get anything you like from my supplier , at a small cost of course . I dont know of anywhere in Herts that are stockholders !

Parkside steel in Enfield do an order/delivery only thing, only on full lengths and sheets though,
Brundles in Rainham which is only a 30 min drive from you carry a large stock of tube/box/flat and sheet for either collection or delivery. Once again its full lengths or full sheets only.

I just wanted to add a belated thanks to Rod (Tigman) for his help getting hold of some RHS, some angle alli and alli sheet for a project i was working on. Good to meet you Rod - i have a few other projects planned, so may be in touch again in the future!
