Had a Fluke 23 for around 30 years but it's now playing up . The sounder for continuity testing only works if I squeeze the case which is not very convenient! Had a look in side , battery connections etc but nothing obvious to an untrained eye so assume a dry joint or some such . It was bought when I had a business and could " loose it" and get the vat back but now in retirement neither need or can justify Fluke prices.
See that Maplin do a multi meter for around £20 .
Main use is around vintage agricultural and garden machinery and a nice loud continuity sounder is a must!
Any thoughts and suggestions will be appreciated.
