Is this normal

Hi guys,
never noticed before but today when playing with my welder and I was snipping the bobble off the end of the wire after a wee run and I managed to pull some slack through. if I do a run and then stop, I can pull about 3mm through, is the the norm or is it my setup?

any help much appreciated

It's normal. The liner has a larger bore than the wire so it doesn't bind when the torch is flexed or coiled and all you are doing is pulling the wire tight in the liner.
