I think both of these already exist ........Battery powered welders and Wifi/bluetooth tig pedals.
ProCage is selling a Migatronic on here that does that.Running with a little more power, or a little less wire speed at that start on a mig, to help reduce cold starts?
what about utilizing the uv energy created by the arc to charge the unit via high output solar panel thus making the machine self sufficient, and sell any surplus to the grid making welding jobs earn twice........
Reminds me of a train I invented when I was a kid - it had an electric loco with a generator driven by the wheels - connect the two together et voila! free travel.
I think I read about someone stick welding with the machine in tig mode and using a pedal, I'll see if I can find the page.Is there any reason why MIG and ARC welders can't have a foot pedal like TIG machines do?
I guess that on non-inverter machines, you couldn't seamlessly control the amperage...?
