That moment where you've just rebuilt the tdi engine I'm your discovery, marvelling at the fact it only cost 80 quid to do everything including skimming the head, then the spanner slips off and snaps your tooth at the nerve and costs you 150 quid to repair

So I'm not the only one to have knocked their tooth out in a land rover / spanner related incident

I don't think it would've been that bad if it wasn't mid winter and minus 1, so every breath over the now exposed bare nerve ending felt like a knife in the face

I was lucky enough to just miss the nerve, still not the best of feelings though!

Chipped my front tooth when the door swung shut in my face, nearly lost an eye when a cold chisel rebounded in to my face when changing a spring eye bush, numerous self inflicted hammer wounds, drill through my left thumb, angle grinder dancing up my arm, setting fire to various items of clothing (while still wearing them) and all this is just on one Landy!

Try sitting in mixed company when Reverend Mother lets one off in similar circumstances and no one could believe a woman of the cloth could do such a thing, so all eyes turn to yours truly!

...especially annoying when it's a 40-pole connector

That moment when you're tidying up your workshop and you knock a big motor off of your bench, you look down in horror as it hurtles towards your foot but it occurs to you that you're wearing steel toed boots so it'll be fine. Then it misses the steel by a millimetre and the shaft smacks into the unshielded part of your foot.

I'll never forget that!! gave it that for good measure tork,,, and there went the themostat housing on my truck , it's 9 pm and I have to work in the morning, a night mare, that sick feeling came over me ,,,,,,,,,
