Not sure if this is the right place for such a topic, but I thought it would be an interesting idea. But describe some of the most pathetic pawn shop finds you've come across.
Just yesterday I was in a local pawn shop I seen three welding machines, 2 'migs' and one arc. All three were no bigger than a car battery and all ran on standard US 115 voltage.
But what stood out the most was the arc welder. 70 amps max and there was only a switch for Hi and Lo. $80 USD.
That crap box wouldn't be worth stealing.
One of the migs was slightly larger, in horrible condition and could only run flux gasless wire. $149 USD.
Compare that to the Lincoln Electric 225 AC just up the street at another pawn shop at the same price and you see what I mean.
