Ok
I have a spit fire Mk2 which has a roll over bar fitted.
I didnt have the bending equipment so my only option was to buy one,
Its ok, seeing as this car is limited to were you can attach the loop to and keeping things prity standard looking
I have spent some time conturing the base plates, as they were just flat when I bought it,
I have also added two plates to the lower loop
ill explain,
the main loop being a tube is cut at each end, leaving a hole, to the side of the loop was welded a flat plate with three holes in it to fix to the inner wheel arch at its lowest level.
I then added a plate to cap the loops hole so to give me a secong bolt shear, the main loop now has a foot so to speak.
the car is thin sheet steel, so underneath this foot I have made and other thicker plate, I have drilled a hole and tig welded a thick tube to it,
I have drilled a large hole through the bodywork, having worked out that there is a box section underneith,
the tube goes through the box section and exits out under the car.
The photos will hopfully explain (its not all welded in as yet)
Ok The the main loop at the loweset end has the three standard holes, plus one big hole that I added.
I am going to attach a seat belt inertia seat belt at this point using the large 15 odd mm sized hole.
What is the correct tensile bolt to use ????
