It's amazing how you can move heavy items on your own...

It's amazing, I was on my own and needed to move this old pillar drill from my van across a very rough patio area ( started, to keep the wife happy, but more important things just keep cropping up! Hence far from complete)

I looked for inspiration and there it was, I new my council tax would pay me back eventually..


My good mate Owen got it this far via a fork lift and his horse box..

Once in my van, it was down to myself and the council to move it across the mountainess terrain of my back garden to its final, resting place.. ) 6 ft plus high and weighs an absolute tonne..

I did have steel toe cap boots on mind... And was wearing an old West Ham tee shirt .. So I don't think I was really at risk of attack.....

You did not see the winch I mounted on deep unistrut to get a chest of drawers and wardrobe though our second floor Juliet balcony doors.

Getting it in the bin from the van was done with gravity, but the video of it being tipped out and stood back up will be a keeper.

The gearbox was removed in the van. The cradle built around it.

Not moved since though, or cleaned, or kept in a manner that I can easily access it.
Blocked the steps in now, so I will not be doing anything like that again soon.

I've just fitted something similar in my loft above the hatch its great for bulky items that are impossible to push up the ladder while climbing
