Wiring diagram creator?

Morning all.

Does anyone know of a (preferably free) wiring diagram creator that can produce something like below? (but UK versions though ).

I can find plenty that will do diagrams that are more like schematics but I just want something that will make things similar to this without having to draw it manually every time.

That's obviously a US drawing (terminology & use of wire nuts) so have you looked over there?. I think drawings like that will have to be drawn by hand, you could draw the individual elements and save them to a library then paste them as required?.

You might find a shapes library for Dia that would work. Not sure if I've seen one as fancy as those though.

Loving the way that the earth wire is connected to the switch, then routed to each light fitting where it's not connected to anything. Also yellow wire nut used on the neutral wire at the switch, but yellow is also used on the earth on the first light fitting. US wiring scares me sometimes...

You might be able to do something with Fritzing or similar, but that too is really aimed at electronics rather than electrical diagrams.

Just the same as UK wiring, you will find earth wire in light fittings not connected unless it's needed. The wire nuts will be colour coded by size, you will find the same colour Wago's or Line connectors used on live/neutral/earth in UK installations.

I still don't have to like it. I'm not a fan of wire nuts - I know they are insulated and safe, but I'd much rather have a terminal that's physically fixed down.

Was always taught to connect earths if they were in cable even if no place to terminate then if internal short it could not become live, think Mice
