blooming typical, was gonna buy a r-tech 160 tig welder went to check the website a moment ago and its out of stock
oh well best ring em in the morning ad see when its coming back in

This could be a good thing. By just clicking the buy button on the net you agree to the package advertised. I'd always call them because they sell direct. I'd be asking them if they have any shop soiled units and would they chuck in a pedal for good measure. There are many advantages to buying from a company that sells direct and it should start with a phone call.blooming typical, was gonna buy a r-tech 160 tig welder went to check the website a moment ago and its out of stockoh well best ring em in the morning ad see when its coming back in
Like I say with companies that deal direct it's always worth a cheeki callapparently i spoke to the wrong person yesterday, spoke to dylan and got a unit arriving tomorrow with a half price shop soiled foot pedal![]()

Proof that good customer service goes a long way in this web based age,Result - and always good to hear about a company that wants to work with their customers![]()
I look forward to seeing some of those welding pics when it turns up.can't praise dylan enough, can't wait for it to get here
There is no such thing as a stupid question. I look forward to the threads hope it's a good one mate.and i look forward to annoying all you helpful people in the tig section with 100s of stupid questions
You should get a small selection of tungstens/collets/ceramics,
enough to get you started for maybe a couple of weeks,
if you're new to tig you'll most likely run out of tungstens first due to dipping it into the weldpool or touching the filler rod onto the tungsten and having to constantly regrind back,
with enough practice this soon reduces.
No idea. I'll assume the torch will be built up with one set and a couple tungstens thrown in at a guess. What sort of work are you looking to do. Get some gas lenses, collets, lanthanated tungstens in 1.6 and 2.4 and some no6 and no7 shrouds then your set for most tasks. These are not expensive just make sure you get them for your size torch.
