how fast have we all travelled?

I`ve got a 450 bhp mitsibushi evo 6 that I`ve had the needle all the way round the clock at 180 mph (on track). Not sure what that equates to on the gps, but ive had the thumbs up and a respectful nod from bikers before when they couldnt get away from me as expected. The guy who did the tuning has the record for fastest rolling 30-130 mph

I have given a few thumbs up to guys in big bhp cars, one was a twin turbo supra, the other was a lambo Gallardo and another was a Scooby that turned out to be one of the fitters where I used to work

I used to like playing with porsches when I had the bandit. used to love the ones with the boxters, roof down and a blonde in the passenger seat. I would be plodding along at the limit and they would come tearing up behind me, get way too close and flash the lights. would wait for them to pull out and try to overtake and then hold them out there.

I watched a mate do something similar, I was following him on the motorway and we indicated to overtake a convertible with the blonde "seatcover" so the driver put his foot down to stop us, my mate is alongside, lying on the tank just about keeping up and the driver is all smiles to his passenger showing how fast his car is, then my mate sits up, drops it down a cog and disappears into the distance

In pre speed camera days I dropped a valve with the GPZ1100 maxed out around 150 ish on the M4, I remember the back wheel locking, I remember pulling in the clutch and I remember standing next to the bike on the hard shoulder bike on side stand, I do not remember anything in between.
(I used to be able to finish work at 6PM in the West End and be changed and sat down for dinner in Exeter before the 9 o clock news came on, I used to tell the GF's dad I had left London at 4:30. That relationship did not last. )

when I was on the bandit shortly after buying it, I was still a bit nervous of its potential, I ahd already managed to accidentally lift the front in 4th off the throttle alone. there was an rx8 infront of me and an r1 behind. the r1 passed me and tucked in behind the rx. loads of noise from the rx when he poot his foot down, me and r1 kept up with ease, then his drivers window came down and he stuck his hand out and wave us on, as if he thought he could out accelerate us. the r1 rider shook his head, dropped it down a few and that was the last I saw of him. I tried keeping up but didn't have the bottle to ride it as hard as I could've. still left the mazda though

I don't rate standard rx8's at all. I have left them standing in my fathers 2 litre jag, and its an auto

Took an FZR1000 from my mates shop for a spin, went past two unsuspecting lads on a 350 YPVS at 165, they were doing around 80. Don't know how the managed to get on my private stretch of road.......

I hate it when people find my closed road and start using it, I have to find another one for some piece and quite. I really cannot understnand why the police don't sit on the newly built road by llanwern steelworks by me, its a few miles long and apart form 2 roundabouts its arrow straight. they would make thousands in speeding fines. without fail, every time I am driving along it a blur of sports bike screams past like im going backwards. no accidents yet but likely that there will be eventually

Ive got a bimota yb8 with the 1000 exup engine in it that bimota claimed to have tweaked to 175bhp. Ive seen 175mph on a gps (rather excitingly the vaguela speed was indicating 189 at the time) and even a wide private test track feels very very narrow at that speed, but you have to try at least once. I've fell off it at 100+ too, friction burns, wrecked gear, bike through hedge at one point and oh, I fractured my metacarstle (sp) in my wrist same as beckham did tripping up. Still got it mind. Needs more power really nowadays with all those big boys on busa's and stuff. I'll stick a bigbore and furtle with the innards a bit when I get soe of the other projects out the way.

I binned a mates gsxr600 on a track at roughly 110, grabbed a bit too much front brake for the corner and down it went. was wearing the only one piece bike suit I have ever had and fair play it did its job. it was wrecked after wards but apart from a bit of bruising I was fine

Nice inside but no torque and only a couple of hundred BHP, a 2L diesel jag has loads of torques but so does my Merc Vito but it is only still a van.

I only cracked the bone in my wrist because natural reactions saw me stick my arm out to save myself, and it went down with a proper bang. Freak accident, debris stuck in the front wheel jamming it. I'm just riding in a straight line feathering the brake to warm it up for a big stop (cast iron floaters) then *BANG* I'm steering with my elbows trying to miss things...

its a 2.1 v6 petrol that my father drives, it feels like its geared to feel like a bigger engine, nice sound now it has a straight through from the cat back and it does pick up speed well, just a shame it boats about a bit and doesn't want to stop

50+mph on a push bike touring in the Picos De Europa, the mercedes and BMW drivers dont like being overtaken by a nutter on a mountain bike.
I remember thinking if I come at this speed? ah hell....

i had a bit of a speed wobble on the m50 not far from there, annoying thing was i was only doing 70 at the time. haven't a clue what happened but it felt like the bike turned to jelly. eased off and it came back into line, was fine after. that was on the 400
