I'm looking to upgrade from my current mig welder (Clarke MIG100EN)to something much more capable with a budget of up around £400 for a new machine.
I want a welder on wheels that can carry a medium sized CO2 bottle on the back.
I've come across a Butters AMT1800 (180amp) at just under £400 inc.vat, and theres the Clarke MIG205TE at £423 inc. and of course if I were to wait for a VAT free day at Machine Mart I could get a MIG195TEC at £399.98.
The Butters machine has a Eurotorch setup which makes it lokk like a better bet than the Clarke stuff but I'm open to any advice you might be able to offer.
