Pocket jump start !!

I have never seen them before 600 A peak 300 A starting current and it fit in ya pocket!!! to help get you out the S**t. In an emergency.
They have one at the wifes garage and use it all the time saves lugging the big one round
I have not tried it in anger yet but will report back when I do.

Mate has one on his boat, it's a smart gadget.
When I was there he put the torch on and left it on, the reason was according to him is that they are great but don't like being left unused for long periods, it can affect it's future charging... much better to run it totally down and recharge once every couple of weeks.

That's a copy of my Micro-start which cost more than twice as much. They really do work well, I took mine to work on Friday since the plant had been standing over the break and had to use it to jump-start a 5 ton digger. Mine has a Li-Ion battery instead of the Li-po shown here. I guess the Li-po is more powerful but carries a certain rish if it's abused.

Li-po will cope better with cold, a very nice device, might have to get one to persuade the pug it wants to start

Right out of the box I charged my HTC One X from half way to full then my Galaxy Nexus 7 from half way to full (which has a huge battery) and it was still showing three of five lights on the battery. I reckon you could rely on two, perhaps three charges from flat for your average smartphone.

Would you get more or less charges, when charging a THICK phone like mine? it must be thick it keeps forgetting numbers.

Cheers Pete any Idea on how long it takes to charge, I'm blessed with power in the guest areas of the festivals so putting it on charge in there for an hour while I have pint is an option. Why don't I charge my phone in there I hear you say.... because I want one of these fantastic devices..

Well if your thinking, where I'm thinking, your thinking I might have to use two, to make the fit a little more snug, save them dropping out under quick maneuvers!!
though thinking about it 24v would be handy coz I do work on trucks now and again.

But in an extreme situation ONE could be a life saver.
But you also cant start you car from your mobile phone---- well yet anyway!!

Well yeah, if you threw it away afterwards, rather than plugging it in to charge for next time.
