Thanks very muchhttps://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/uk.rec.models.engineering/HtJCkGo1J18/rZVz7ZAjCQUJ
Love the big weight, is the reason blade fitting not original due to odd length blade no longer available. modelenginere.co.uk may be a place to ask.
Looks a 50s machine
the blades are cheap as chips. just buy the longer ones sharpen a carbide masonary drill to a decent cutting edge spot heat the blade where u want the hole with oxy acet torch till cherry red and drill it fastthen cut the blade length down with angle grinder .u can pick them blades up for a couple of quid each normaly at autojumbles
i scored a couple of worn blades from rgb stainless from up the road .3inch x24inch and made them in to scrapersI bought some big ones a couple of years ago they make good scrapers
they loaded the metal on with forklift and it was pneumaticaly fed and clampedgood grief, that brings back memories, had one of them years ago and sold on ebay to give space for a band saw, Glad I did.Hi
Lads

thats what i do 2. if i could be bothered id drill and tap couple more holes down the bed and be able to move the fixed vice jaw along but im 2 lazy to do itWhat used to get me upset with my Mechanical saw was there was always half the blade length that never saw work and it seemed a waste to bin...i now have steel blocks in my vice so it moves the stock into the untouched teeth and i get my moneys worth.
